Law Day 2006 prize winners and pictures

Sponsors: The League of Women Voters of the Piedmont Triad, The Greensboro Bar Association,  NC Court Watch, YWCA of Greensboro, AAUW, Greensboro Public Library, NC A&T Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice.  Contest and events supported (in part) by a grant from the League of Women Voters Education Fund, the Program on Constitutional and Legal Policy of the Open Society Institute, and the Greensboro Bar Association. This contest was open to all children in public or private school.
Elementary School (grades 4-5)  Topic: Explain or illustrate the three branches of the federal government.
First place: Alex Bruno and Jack Sartore (Our Lady of Grace)
Second place: Jonah Carmichael (Our Lady of Grace)
Third place: Andy O'Brien (Stokesdale Elementary)

Middle School (grades 6-8)  Topic: Explain or illustrate the three branches of the federal government and the powers granted to each under the U.S. Constitution. 
First place: Mary Fontana and Cynthia Paniagua (Ferndale Middle)
Second place: Anne Lucas (Canterbury)
Third place: Jordan Cannon (Canterbury) and Taylor Oots (Fredale Middle)
