I   Health Care Spending:  Follow the Money - March 11

You may have missed Health Care Spending:  Follow the Money with speaker Jonathan Oberlander, PhD  (left)  but you may attend the rest of the series.

The series began with a presentation by Dr. Jon Oberlander, UNC-CH School of Medicine.  Dr. Oberlander  described how health care dollars are spent in our current system.   

II  Addiction, Mental Health and Mental Health Reform- March 25                 

This session covered what is happening in the care of individuals with addiction and mental illness and how mental health reform in NC has impacted access to care.  Clips from a documentary and presentations by Dr. Masoud Hejazi (right, above) a Greensboro psychiatrist and Robin Huffman (middle, above), a long time patient advocate, and John Tote helped  participants to understand the most important issues associated with addiction and mental illness, especially in North Carolina today.
